How to get seen without insurance

  1. Pick a clinic near youSearch your zip and the care you need. Closer clinics show first.
  2. Call aheadAsk if they take new patients, what a visit costs, and whether you need a referral.
  3. Bring your papersPhoto ID, proof of address and proof of income like pay stubs. Clinics use them to set your fee.
Emergency? Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Hospitals must screen and stabilize you, insured or not.
